GOA – North Goa & South Goa
North Goa is well known and a famous, treasured as a land of blond beaches. It is a golden land of palm trees, paddy fields and wooded hills. Its churches, temples & shrines, forts tell our past. North Goa is associated with the daze parties of Goan, music, hippies of the 70’s and now the crowd of tourism. The cost of living is also higher in the northern sightseer areas, though in both north and south you find expensive and cheap places in the famous Goa cuisine and most of all with a peace-loving, smiling people.
The North Goa tour is conducted from the timing 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The other places covered include Saligao Church, Bodgeshwar Temple, Mapusa City weekly Friday bazaar, Vagator Beach and Anjuna Beach. The trip rounds off with a visit to the Calangute Beach which is close to our resort and then it’s back to the hotel. Where to choose a somewhere to stay in Goa? North or South Goa? Whether you choose North Goa or South Goa, you will certainly enjoy your time here.
In both places you will find beautiful beaches, wonderful landscapes, a marvelous architecture, and an incredible mix of cultures. In the interior part of Goa, life is peaceful in both parts, north and south, but in the coastal area, it is totally different. Overall, North Goa is more busy and crowded area than South Goa. This is partly due to the fact that, northern part is smaller and it is very closer to the capital, Panjim (or Panaji), and also because tourism first developed in North Goa.
The south Goa beach circuit begins from Margao, the second most and a more important city in Goa.
Railway station connects Goa to all major cities in the coastline like Mangalore, Mumbai & Kochi.
Beginning from Majorda beach, a 20 kilometer longs silvery white sand stretches across till the headland of Cabo de Rama.
The South Goa Tour Covered Miramar, Dona Paula, the World Heritage Churches at Old Goa, Mangueshi and Shantadurga temples and also the Colva Beach. It starts from 8:30 AM and ends at 7:30 PM. South Goa is synonymous with a more peaceful sightseeing place due to its huge 26 km beach which won’t be crowded anytime soon. So, if you’re looking for parties of Goa, night clubs, crowd, shopping area go to North Goa, even though there are also beach parties and night clubs in the south.
